GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I enjoyed the dual enrollment opportunities and the senior class advisor was wonderful. The theater department was great as well. I did not like the lunchroom options at time and certain staff members were not helpful.

It is a good high school compared to others facilities but they have some questionable executive and leadership decisions. I think people would have good opportunities with DHS.

Demopolis High School is a good school for where its located. Its built on a swamp but the layout of the school doesn't feel like it is. I've attended this school for 3 years and there's not much diversity, mostly just white African Americans and Latinos. The teachers are great, they would love to help you anytime. For a school our size there's a lot of sports and clubs you can join. I really haven't had any past experiences about this school, but my best experience was getting a bomb threat on the very first day of school.

I graduated in 1995. I had wonderful teachers, and graduated with honors. You have to apply yourself! Go tigers!

This *public* school, once a year, has mandatory assembly during which a man comes in and preaches christianity, accompanied by a christian band. This is wholly inappropriate conduct for a public school. Many of the students who are not christian find this assembly to not only be a horrendous waste...
