It's been a wonderful experience attending DSA there is such a rich amount of arts being performed daily and it is wonderful to see different majors working together in performances and even academics. Wish there was more diversity within the staff and students.

I have been going to DSA since Middle School which would make a 7 year senior this year and overall I would say my experience was alright. With me being and African American woman at PWI I can say that first it was hard to adapt to the environment and meet new people but overtime I kind of just learned how to be to myself and know that It's okay not a have group of friends. My academic experience at DSA has been great the teachers there really push you to do your best and want to see you succeed/growth each year.

I've been at DSA for 7 years (this is my seventh) and while I wouldn't trade it for any other school, DSA also isn't perfect. The students are amazing. They're the most creative, talented, driven, and hardworking people you'll meet. But parts of the school, particularly administration and academic teachers, are not so great. Admin does nothing for the students, in fact they do the opposite. All of the teachers are nice, and many are really good, but many have also taught me next to nothing.

The administration at this school is beyond appalling. they do not protect kids from bullying and are unresponsive to emails. They do not support parents or students when help is really needed. We even had to acquire the assistance of a mediator from DPS in order to get any traction with communicati...

While the latest reviews highlight some of what has occurred with the administration, on a positive note, all those administrators have been removed, with one newer, highly engaged and loved middle level AP hopefully getting the position as head principal. She will be focusing on the main issues suc...

DO NOT CHOICE INTO THIS SCHOOL! I know it may be hard to trust an online review, if you have questions, ask them in a review. I will respond back in a review. DSA is falling apart and is in crisis, they are losing students even though the district just spent tens of millions of dollars to expand DSA...

Anyone thinking of applying to DSA for middle or high school: DON'T. DSA administration (middle and high school) are checked out, disorganized and unprofessional, they do not have the skills to run a middle and high school, let alone a successful one. Yes, DSA has high scores (DO NOT BE SWAYED BY TH...
