Westerly Creek Elementary school is part of the Denver Public School system, serving Early Childhood Education through Fifth Grade. It’s conveniently located in the Westerly Creek neighborhood of Central Park. Westerly Creek was Central Park’s first school. It is committed to the Denver Public School core curriculum, which includes the Literacy and Everyday Math programs, as well as the arts, physical education, technology, and character.
At Westerly Creek Elementary, students aren’t the only pupils that must adhere to strict and structured expectations. Teachers and staff have high standards to follow, which is what keeps the students’ learning environment consistent and fair. Throughout the academic year, all students take various forms of assessment that provide information that helps with instruction, tracking student progress, identifying student giftedness, and language acquisition proficiency.
