I love the community at East though clubs and activities everyone has a spot at East. The only flaws come from the lack of recourses and funding for the community and students but this is a whole district issue that needs to get fixed by the state.

The environment was very diverse and had many resources and connections that made my experience worth it.

East high school opened the doors for a number of opportunities athletically and academically. East also has the largest alumni association in the country which gives out numerous scholarships annually. The motto 'for the service of humanity' is one that the students embody creating a welcoming network and community.

East High is the best school here in Iowa. Well to me of course. I am not in any extra curricular activities but they do have a lot. The school spirit is amazing and you could feel how proud we are to be a Scarlet! We are actually the biggest 9-12 school here in Iowa. I transferred to East as a Soph...

Personally I do not like East much however compared to Central I find my East peers to be more relatable, sort of. Anyways other than a few good teachers I find the school to be a downer. At East they mostly care for athletics while other after school activities (besides debate) are rarely announced...
