I can from a low end school before I came to Detroit leadership academy. Hoping to find a better surrounding and it really wasn't any better, I take my education very serious because that's how your going to succeed in life and I'm not really getting the proper preparation that I need to go to college and it's not fair to me or the other students here . All the teachers have left and now we're here with nothing but substitutes but I have faith that the school can get better and improve move as far as academics and more school activities as a whole .

it was good, we had little bit of a turnover with the administration but it was good...i also think they could have done a little more to help the seniors with scholarships too....I believe that more effort could have been given to the seniors, especially since they have only about 50 seniors....i have an upcoming senior so im gonna make sure they help the kids achieve the potiental and get all the scholarship money they deserve...

My experience at Detroit leadership academy was average. They have many teachers that have your back and some that have a negitive impact on my life. The school heat never comes on when we want it to. There was sports but they where ment for us to fail. We had a football team but didnt have a home field, we had a baseball team but didnt have a real baseball field,we had a basketball team but had to practice in the lunch room. Although we had bad sports experiences all of our coaches tried there best into getting people in college
