GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall my experience was pretty good. The academics and teachers were good, and there were many opportunities to get involved with the community.

The math, science, and history departments are excellent. This school lacks the language department where I have found teachers lack commitment, communication, and organization. This has affected my confidence in my writing which is a fundamental aspect of my access to opportunities in the future.

Jamesville-Dewitt high school was a very typical high-school experience. All departments have talented teachers and although you might have a teacher that doesn't work well with you, you can always find support.
