For the most part this school is pretty chill but it may not have all of the classes or resources you need or want that may be tied to your future career. Especially since recently there have been many teachers leaving the district due to low pay, resulting in a low variety of classes.

My experiences at Dixon high school have been good however Dixon high school lacks funding and fundamental skills for math and science. We always had subs and I never truly learned standard math and science because of that.

I have been attending Dixon High School since last year, when I started my junior year. The school's atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. The teachers have always been friendly with me and they're very prepared.

School has an ok rating but the experience wasn’t good for our family. Our student was truant repeatedly and late/skipped first period almost 30 times, and we didn’t know about it. Not one single call, or request for us to talk to the school and figure out what was going on. Kids just sit in class o...

Not enough honors/ap classes. The counselors were not interested in the futures of their students. The teachers could be more serious as well with their coursework, less movies.

Safe learning environment. State-of-the-art facilities, including two computer labs, huge library, theater, two gyms, impressive stadium, and more. Tremendous educational options for students, including AP and Honors Courses, on-campus college courses through the new DHS College Advancement Program,...
