I think the biggest issue I have with Dixon High School is the lack of school spirit and support for their students. I do think that they are trying to make a difference in both aspects. I also wish that they tried to support their students while applying to good schools outside and inside of California.

I find the material generally easy, and the expectation for all students is low. I'd love to see improvement in attendance rate, diversity, and more importantly passion. The students here have very little drive, and it's sad to see it as a motivated student myself. For those of us wanting to go to college, the material is sub-par comparatively to what I should be learning. This is my opinion though, as a recent transfer to the school.

Overall it is a pretty good experience. There are some great teachers and most people get along well. Of course not everyone but most.

School has an ok rating but the experience wasn’t good for our family. Our student was truant repeatedly and late/skipped first period almost 30 times, and we didn’t know about it. Not enough honors/ap classes. The counselors were not interested in the futures of their students. The teachers could be more serious as well with their coursework, less movies.
