GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think one of the best parts of being there is being included in a lot of activities and offering us a lot of activities and fun time but also good environment for school. I think the worst part, is that not all the teachers are good

I overall had a great experience here. The school is clean and nice, the teachers and staff always help us out with our needs. However, I do some teachers don't make it entirely easy on us. It is great high school.

My freshmen year at Duarte showed me that not everyone is going to find you likeable people may find you annoying and hate you for whatever reason they have. Towards the end of my sophomore year it made me realize that my school was not so great after all. It was not the teachers though the teachers at Duarte were excellent and made me realize my worth. It was the lack of classes that the district provided due to the funds. Duarte has so much to improve on and I hope they make things better and more oppurtinities for students in the future.

The teachers at this school are not effective they only care about cashing their checks as soon as they get tenure. The students suffer because of this and have to deal with the consequences of the greed not only of the teachers but of the district as well.

Overall I now understand why enrollment is declining. My children have gone to Duarte schools since Kindergarten, and I have never seen such lack of communication until this year at DHS. Teachers do not want to work with me as a parent.

If your child is a diligent student, Duarte High School is an excellent school with great programs and enthusiastic teachers. They have an excellent science program, and numerous extracurricular activities. If your child is less than diligent, or apathetic, then DHS is not the place for you. The low...
