Overall I had a pretty good experience at James F. Byrnes. I was apart of the color guard team where I was in leadership. I had amazing teachers who had a huge impact on my life and some who did not. The students got along for the most part and it was a friendly environment. I would say things that need to change is not be so hard on people who were different.

Me personally, I found the school boring. It's nothing out of the ordinary that most high schools. I didn't really care for most teachers cause they just didn't seem happy teaching and the staff wasn't the most helpful with student needs. They have an image they like to maintain which is the diverse school and all about inclusion.

There are a lot of friendly people at Byrnes, including both staff and students. The teachers are very easy to talk to, so you can easily connect with them and build a friendship with them. The things I don't like is the cleanliness at the school. The bathrooms are rarely clean since they are often messed up by other students.
