So far I have had a great experience at Middle College. I am on a college campus where I can complete my work independently and enjoy college food! My teachers and counselors provide me with all of the support that I need to be successful in my classes.

I love my high school. It is a middle college for juniors and seniors so students are there for a shorter time. In these two I have learned more than at my previous high school. The opportunities that this school gives their students are amazing. Thanks to this school, I received my associates degree at my local community college for free. The staff and the counselors and the principal are the best. If I could repeat my junior and senior high school I would still choose Middle College HS at Durham Tech.

Pretty good, takes away some from the 'high school experience' but ultimately, the costs saved are worthwhile, you are allowed to be involved in your old schools' clubs and such, but the HS itself has very little in extracurriculars.

Middle College High School, now Durham Early College High School, has been a deeply disappointing experience. Communication is nearly nonexistent — students send email after email and rarely receive a response. When students have tried to bring up ideas to improve the school, administrators have eve...

My daughter has had a fantastic experience at Middle College HS. While she loved the flexibility and independence that Middle College provided, she also became deeply engaged in the clubs and social activities offered by the school- even during COVID. We so appreciate the support she received from t...

My child just completed 11th grade at MCHS and I must say it has been an incredibly positive experience. The MCHS staff and teachers have been very helpful and I have been thrilled with how well they really try to help students succeed. My child has enjoyed the experience and especially is happy to...

My daughter is academically gifted. She has been able to take a full college load because she had enough prerequisites coming into the program and will graduate high school with her Associate of Science already completed. Although this isn't the common path at DTHS, it is possible, and we are gratef...
