As a tuition-free public charter school, EAGLE College Prep South Mountain serves children in kindergarten through eighth grade from a modern campus in the fast-changing South Mountain neighborhood of Phoenix.
With a mission to help students nurture a strong character, the faculty at EAGLE South Mountain “explicitly teach and discuss respect, integrity, justice, responsibility, self-sacrifice, diligence and courage” with guidance set in the Civic Character Formation Project.
In the classroom, teachers follow an academic model that integrates whole-group and small-group instruction to better individualize the needs of students and offer more one-on-one attention. As for the curriculum, students learn through Zearn math and Lexia reading, and further develop character through lessons in U.S. history and other core subjects.
As a welcome bonus for parents and caregivers, EAGLE College Prep produces weekly video newsletters so you can keep on top of the most important news from the school, whether about upcoming school fields trips or personal updates directly from teachers. There’s also an online portal for parents in English and Spanish where you can follow student progress and other school activities.
Additional offerings at EAGLE College Prep include after-school tutoring, access to a school counselor, and a newly expanded arts and athletics programs.

My children have been attending EAGLE since kindergarten! We love the new administrators, they are sweet to each students that is enrolled with EAGLE South Mountain.

My son graduated from Eagle which then was a fun loving environment. Unfortunately since Mrs. Danzy became principle things are going down hill. I no longer see the students becoming first priority, the school itself looks a mess, teachers don't have smiles on their faces and I just dont see it impr...

We love Eagle! My daughter has excelled since transferring from Legacy Traditional! Couldn't be happier with the faculty and staff at this school! She struggles in Math, but is in a culture where she feels comfortable enough to seek help without embarrassment. Her Math teacher is her biggest cheerle...

My child has attended Eagle since first grade. I chose the school because of its mission, active families, and then-leadership. Danzy needs to go! Teachers are unhappy and their hands are tied. Danzy needs to be fired, and replaced by someone who WANTS to be a principal who supports a loving mission...
