I am a senior here at East Peoria Community High School. It is a very nice school in terms of the students and the faculty. The teachers are always willing to help and support their students. However, it lacks academically compared to the other schools around here. They are willing to help you prepare for college but they lack the proper resources at times.

The best part about my experience here at EPCHS has been the community and how involved the sports and extra curriculars are within the school. I love performing and being apart of the school athletics. A bad part about my experience is the way some kids decide to treat each other with no respect. And how kids don't respect teachers either. I would to see some aspects of teaching lessons to new kids coming in like freshman This year we started doing freshman lectures and I think they are really helping the school become a better place for everyone to be.

They do a decent job of keeping the students safe and happy but I think that they could do a better job at encouraging students positive mental health and help be focused on the students health (mentally and physically) just as much as our academic skills. Some of us have really good grades and could even keep them up with more allowed mental health days or some more homework deadline flexibility.

We had a terrific experience with the staff at EPCHS. Our son is on the spectrum and their team was always there for us and very accommodating. In talking with other parents, their experiences were never as good as what we had here.
