Prairie View Elementary serves preschool through fifth grade students as part of the Eden Prairie Public School District, one of the most highly rated school districts in the state.
Offering a challenging but inspiring scholastic curriculum supported by strong literacy initiatives, Prairie View Elementary promotes the following subjects across grade levels: English language arts, personal management, health, art, world language, music, mathematics, science and social studies.
Enrichment opportunities include band, choir and orchestra as well attending class in Prairie View's courtyard. Used as a unique learning environment, Prairie View's outdoor classroom reflects the school's commitment to mindfulness and students' wellbeing. Students are also invited to participate in yoga to reduce stress and improve their attention spans.
Offering an accelerated academic program for gifted scholars, Prairie View's Mosaic and KEY initiatives allow students to explore advanced topics employing more complex thinking and problem-solving skills.
Children that need assistance with learning are also addressed with Prairie View’s Title 1 programming that provides students with individualized instruction in small groups both inside and outside the classroom in reading and math.
Prairie View Elementary is dedicated to shaping 21st-century scholars using technology, innovative teaching methods and an emphasis on communication, collaboration and creative self-expression.

My experience with prairie view elementary has been nothing short of fabulous from the front desk to the teacher's! It's a family and they make you feel that your children are safe and thriving if I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I have 3 children that all attended Prairie View - The teachers are wonderful - This school has a variety of incomes and cultures and it is great to see a school that has a great mix and great students - could ask for a better school setting for my children- very welcoming -

Race and bullies are a huge both with student and staff. Kids are punched in face and teachers don't take seriously. And the teachers continue to bully the victim with interragations and suspension. Not a fair school white boys are the ones being bullied now.

We love Prairie View. The teachers have been wonderful and the staff is helpful. The classes and programs meet the needs of the students. It's a school that you can be confident your child is getting the best education possible. Some of the parents, however, could learn a few lessons from their kids...

My son is in 1st grade at Prairie View and he loves it; it is a wonderful school with great teachers and lots of resources. They have spanish and KEY (advance math and reading) programs for my son. He is doing exceptionally well and is thriving.
