The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Not exactly like the schools on any other Air Force Base. It's completely the opposite. Most of the students at this school are not military children unlike I was. There is bullying involved here at this school especially cyber bullying today. At least the school principal dealt with the bullying and harassment. Everybody else continues to believe everything that turns out to not be true. Highly not recommended if your kids are military brats.

Desert High is a very low-quality school with no bathroom stall doors, dirty classrooms, hardly any academic variety and a very small administration.

A good majority of the staff would stand out the most in terms of what I like about the school, yet I would like to see some faculty changes (fixing broken things around the school faster) and more funding overall.
My children now attend the junior high and have had a great first year. The current leadership communicates with parents via phone or email quickly about anything that arises on campus. The school is a lot safer and more academically challenging than other schools in the nearby area and my children...
I am an alumnus of Desert High class of 2003. While I agree that there is a severe lack of activities outside of class, it must be acknowledged that the number of students is low. My year was only a graduating class of 89. At the time, the student body was somewhere around 350. I can appreciate the...
I am an alumni of this school. I attended Desert High School in 1968. It was one of the best high schools in California. Academics, social activities and sports. I pulled out my 1968 Year Book and remembered how lucky I was. I am heartbroken about some of the previous comments about Desert H.S. We w...
It seems like being a school on an Air Force base that also has NASA on it, the kids would have opportunities available to them that outside schools don't. I'm disappointed that this does not seem to be the case. Robotics, Lego, Rocket and similar clubs have been attempted but it seems like there's...

Great land parcel for building a homestead or for long-term investment! This parcel sits in a scenic, mountainous area just north of North Edwards. It is very close to Claymine Ave, which is the main thoroughfare in the area. Great parcel at a great price with a variety of uses!
