My experience at Mountain View hasn't been bad. I like the school and I believe that there are some great teachers here like Mr. Bolen, Mr. Campbell, and Mr. Martinez; But there's also some teachers who I don't think are the best. There are also programs like the college courses from Rio Hondo or the programs like our Teacher Preparation Academy and Upward Bound that help students prepare for college. But I also think that our Career Center could be better because students who don't know that we have programs may not take advantage of them and I think the advisor of the Career Center isn't very helpful. And lastly, I wanted to talk about the sports. Our sports teams are not the best and I think that we need better funding specifically for our tennis teams. I believe that tennis isn't supported much by the school and we don't have much funding. I would like to see the school be more helpful with college readiness and be more available to hear the criticism that other students may have.

It's an okay school, the teachers have experience and respect for the students. The food is fairly decent and the funding is being used correctly. I just wish they took some of us more seriously.

It's a very so-so environment. But, if you are okay with the teachers and talk to them frequently then it doesn't turn out that bad.

I graduated in 1986 and was unfortunate to have Ms. Acosta as my counselor. Unfortunately for the Viking Ship, Ms. Acosta was promoted to the admin ranks and the rest of it is history. Our sports program became that much worse and academics suffered even more. That is what you get when you promote p...

I attended this high school a few years ago. Its not the greatest but if you become involved in the academic programs there is it is much more enjoyable! I was involved in the VISTA academy sophomore, Junior, and Senior year. If it wasn't for the teachers that were involved in the academy I wouldn't...

Honestly, my student attends this school and I hate it so much. When the economy is good, the school is good. When the economy is bad, the administration and the staff just doesn't care about their students as much as they do about money. The students don't reach their full potential. They do the mi...
