I really enjoyed my time at Chrysalis Therapeutic Boarding School because if I hadn't gone I wouldn't be graduating high-school or going to college at all. The teachers at Chrysalis really help individuals with academic plans and support by always having time to meet with you to go over what credits or classes you need and being open to supporting and creating accommodations for your personal needs. The teachers at Chrysalis really supported me in finding motivation for academics and the potential of a higher education which I am very grateful for.

Staff is dismissive and stifling. They don't allow any form of self expression from wearing a lot of makeup of certain clothing to not allowing any other opinions. For a rare few they are able to come out with a new perspective on life but for the rest they are left with more trauma and problems than they went in with. Unfortunately I only know of one person besides myself That I went to school there with that isn't currently suicidal and/or on drugs. Staff besides therapists is not trained in how to handle mental illness or even how to treat children.

Chrysalis is a therapeutic all-girls boarding school. I was not prepared for college academically or emotionally, however I know that the organization has changed hands since I graduated, hopefully for the better.
