Very loud, not welcoming, and unsafe. When given the option not to be there most kids aren't due to the environment and safety.

I think the best experience is the diversity of the student body and the wide options of diploma or work study options. I would like to see the public perspective of this school change. It gets a bad rap in the community that I feel is undeserved. I would also like to see the sports programs improve a little bit. I think that would help with public perception, too.

Governor Thomas Johnson High School is overall a pretty good school. The sports are great and the school spirit is top notch, but the fights and safety could use work.

The school is a brick with a starship ride on top of it. Everyone here are immature drug addicts or are jerks with attitude. Whatever they are serving kids is gross, the teachers only give notes or sit around doing nothing. I have two good teachers with only one being exceptionally good. The buildin...

The food is bad, I would get threatened by classmates often, people bring knifes and weapons to school. The teachers don't help much with these problems, lots of bullying and harassment. One time someone brought a knife to a lunch room and tried to stab a classmate, lots of physical violence and fig...

I have three children, one is graduating from TJ this month, another next year, and my youngest will be a freshman next year. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with TJ. I was very nervous given some of the low ratings but I have been so impressed by the staff and administration. I...

This school is amazing. The staff really care about the students success. I went on to get a PhD in aerospace engineering and within my peer group we had numerous JD’s, PhD’s and MD. This school set students up for success.
