GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The opportunities and school spirit here is phenomenal. You can tell that the teachers really care about having a connection with their students and are interested in tying them on the right path for college.

Coming from a small school the options are not always the best but what clubs they do have is ok. FCA is a fun club as they do activities a lot. We have no after school activities besides sports.

If kids are involved in athletics and they get in trouble over the summer when they return to school they are disciplined. Depending on action they get suspended for number of competitions. It is not the schools business what kids do when they are not in school. I feel they are trying to do the parenting. Also, they have a rule called guilty by association. That is where if you are caught at a party where there is alcohol you are in trouble regardless whether you are drinking or not. Don't agree with that at all.
