The rigor is very high but it is very good for college readiness and preparedness. The students are extremely competitive and almost too well-rounded, making it nearly impossible for a good sleep schedule and a decent amount of time for activities outside of school.

From what I remember, it was a very competitive environment with highly driven, academically focused students. Overall, it is a strong school, though I have heard that some of its most well-regarded teachers have since retired or passed away.

The school is great, it's really big and has a big library, parking lot, gym, and auditorium. The food is typical free California school lunch. Troy Tech Program is one of the best ones and has many interesting pathways.
