The best part about Valencia High School is the diversity aspect and the variety of programs that are offered on campus. With the backbone of Valencia High School of the International Baccalaureate Program and their Val Tech program the school has a reputable program that provides rigorous academic training and a comprehensive curriculum for the students. The downside of the school is the amount of workload that comes with the programs as one gets involved in.

My experience at Valencia High was mostly filled with amazing and life lasting memories, but it was interrupted with Covid

I arrived at Valencia high school following the Corona Virus Pandemic lockdown the year prior. It was my sophomore year and I was eager to start the school year. upon arriving at the school I made assumptions about what to expect and I was wrong. I thought I would be coming into an environment no different than my previous. However the quick 30 minute drive from my old school to my new one came with differences I did not see coming. I struggled with inclusivity as the school was not very diverse leaving people who felt different to also feel alone. Although this school may not be perfect I can strongly say that the resources for help are very prominent at Valencia and there are many ways to get involved in things that make students like myself feel included in the school society. As the years have past there has been change but I am still eager to see change in the diversity aspect of the school as well as the promotion of kindness all around campus regardless of our differences.

Valencia High School claims to be the best academic school in PYLUSD, but it's not. There are some good teachers but the most of them don't really care about their students and refuse to help. If students don't have good connections with certain groups of students or teachers, you are pretty much do...

Valencia offers perhaps the best academic programs in the PYLUSD school district, encouraging students to enroll in IB, Cambridge, and ValTech courses. The bulk of the student population consists of minorities, and such diversity contrasts with other schools within the district, ones that particular...

Overall good and sometimes bad for average and above-average students. But I am assuming it can get worse somewhere else.

There aren't too many high schools where you can experience a diverse student body combined with a strong academic program that allows access to ALL students. Amazing teachers, quality athletics, amazing clubs, and a strong instrumental music program. The drama program and school newspaper are the o...
