I believe Garrett High School is a very safe environment. In my experience Garrett is a great school to get an education at. the only downside of garret is that they are very focused on sports and that takes some of the attention off of the academics.

The teachers are great and adapt to the best ways their students learn. We have great resources whenever needed. The teachers try their best to make sure we have anything we need to learn the best for us. Some things I would change about Garrett would be the school involvement. Since we are such a small school not a lot of students come to sporting events or activities. If our school pushed it more during the day I feel that the students will get more involved.

Garrett High School has been a very enjoyable atmosphere to be in. Switching schools my senior year had me nervous, but being at Garrett has been nothing but smooth. I have done great in all my classes and I feel that I am being better prepared for my future. The teachers care for their students and are always willing to help them out.

This is an awesome school. Don't let statistics and state numbers/rates fool you! I moved my family here when both of my kids were starting High School/Junior High and in retrospect, I'm happier for having my kids attend GHS than I am about moving to the area. I graduated from GHS in 1965 - yes, all of 47 years ago. I consider it an honor to be a Railroader even this many years hence. I remember her as a small school with big ambitions.
