Machen is a great school. The teachers all work very hard to make sure the students do well. The test scores are off the charts compared to newport news, and other hampton city schools. The principle and teachers are horrible they do not value any parents rights or say so in there child’s education . Instead they belittle you and don’t care and tell you . You as a parent do not matter there horrible at communicating and they rather your child fail rather then offer tutoring I hate...

This is the worst school ever!!!!!! They bullied my daughter the staff and bad kids!!!!! The principals are horrible and the janitor threatened to slap the s$$$ out of my daughter!!!!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE

Terrible. After hearing from my child that a knife had been taken into school for the second week in a row, I called the city to squash the rumor.
