Hastings Middle School is where sixth through eighth-grade students build bridges to their future. The middle school is mid-sized compared to other schools in the county and is located right in the heart of Hastings, Michigan. A year-round calendar of student activities supports core academics. Highlights include the annual middle school spelling bee, geography bee, Future Farmers of America events and community service day. Students can also make friends and memories at dances and other social activities supervised by school staff. FFA is an agricultural and leadership organization that seeks to train and inspire the next generation of leaders. Hastings Middle School athletics offers a variety of activities for students to get physical exercise and build relationships with teammates. Thanks to the central location of this Barry County middle school, students can participate in exciting field trips and programs, as well as memorable hands-on learning opportunities from guest instruction by trade professionals to weekly innovation and design work projects.
