GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, Hedgesville High School has been a great experience. Majority of the staff make students feel welcome. Some of the things that could possibly be improved on is the security of the school and the students they allow to be present in the school.

It's not a bad school, it's not particularly amazing either. The janitors are very dutiful in keeping it clean. The staff are friendly and most of the teachers are incredibly kind and generous. It has a few clubs and sports teams. The students who attend aren't the best, but I'm not sure I know a school in my area that has good high school kids.

Students need to be better prepared for college, treated more respectfully as young adults. Students who are not interested in going to college should not be looked down upon

A nightmare for my student with a disability who was treated like a criminal for having autism and was trying to find connection and caring from a school that rejected him.
