GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Hempstead High School's coaching staff are phenomenal. Those coaches go above and beyond to assist every student not only in Athletics but also in academics. Most are role models to each student at our school. My experience with Hempstead High School was our coaches encouraged me, assisted me on guidance, taught me to be patient to overcome the impossible when I was at my most vulnerable stage.

Most of the teachers actually care about the students. As for the administration, it not that great. The administration does not care for the students. I have good here for all four year and have seen very little change. They try but its not good. Ever year we had a teaching missing for most of the year. The only good part is the extracurricular activities.
