Teachers were okay. The engineering department was very good, as was the music department. Administration was not the best but got replaced after my time there.

Honestly, I like what this school has to offer you get to pick most of your classes and this is the first school that has lockers that I had been to and the only thing that was bad was the start time 7:00 am means I have to wake up at 6:00 am that's the only thing gate keeping a 5 star review

As an alumnus of Rachel Carson, I wish I could look back fondly on my time there, but unfortunately, the school's consistent failure to provide a safe environment overshadows much of my experience. Our experience at Carson led us to leave FCPS for private school. More time was spent educating my kids about social justice campaigns and pronouns than academics. My children graduated with near perfect grades despite performing below grade level in mathematics and writing.
