I really have enjoyed my time at HFAC. I have had many good experiences. However, the one thing I would change about my school is the lack of organization. Teachers are always all over the place, so it is hard to get things done.

Small town atmosphere where everyone looks out for eachother! You will have the same teachers every year for the standard subjects. This means you get to know everyone!

The one thing I liked about Hickory Flat is that I had a couple of teachers who went above and beyond in their jobs. They cared so much, they helped students with other classes because the other teachers did not know how to teach those classes to start with. If I could change things about the school I would start with some of the teachers. No student should ever ask a question and get a response "I really do not understand why you aren't getting this," (says it in front of the entire class) and "google it."

A concern is that there is no plan on how to move the school from being good, to great. I see a lack of quality...

This school focuses all its efforts on having the best sports teams. However, education and academics come as an afterthought. If all you care about are sports, this is a great school.

This school is great. the teachers and assistants are wonderful! I heard the aids are being cut though. I dont see how the students will benefit from this, 'Not enough money is what our super is saying. Maybe all the money that was spent on 'wing dings' should have been spent on keeping aids in the...
