I did not like anything about this school. I transferred to this school after moving from Maryland, and my middle school in Maryland had much better academics. The teachers actually cared about the students at my old school and taught us well. I cannot say this about Southwest Guildford Middle School. There was no academic rigor and I felt swallowed by the school since there were so many students.

Good School, Good Teachers. They need some help in discipling children who do wrong. Design a fair and consistent matrix of discipline with escalating discipline so students who repeatedly get in trouble face harsher punishments.

Bullying is an issue that isn't addressed well. No consequences for those that are caught bullying. Some teachers are not consistent with others in handling of those that are caught saying inappropriate comments or behavior towards other students. While some other teachers are tougher.
