Rose M. Avalos High School is generally considered to be mediocre, especially when compared to other high schools in Houston, Texas. The environment is perceived as biased and unprofessional by many, including staff, and students. Additionally, recent organizational changes and directives have led to a high turnover of staff, impacting the learning experience significantly.

Over the school is okay. It lacks a lot of funding for it being an early college high school. The staff changes every year and as a senior, we don't really know anyone anymore. There is clear racism in the school and lacks diversity. As it is a very young school we do not have any resources for applying to colleges or any of the sort. The one thing the school does amazingly is providing us with a lot of clubs. When it comes to that it is very good and has a lot of options.

My experience in Avalos P-tech has been mostly positive. I've honestly haven't had any memorable bad experience with the faculty or staff. The only change I would like to see would be better food in lunch.
