Yellowstone College Preparatory is a charter school located in Houston's historic Third Ward neighborhood. It was established in 2017 and shares a campus with Yellowstone Academy. Together, the two schools have about 230 students.
The prep school currently serves students in grades six to eight but has active plans to expand and renovate the campus to include grades 8-12.
Admission is not based on zoning. Students must apply online for admission. Due to space restrictions, a lottery is held each February to determine which students will receive an offer.
Yellowstone College Preparatory offers a small class size boasting a 16:1 student/teacher ratio.
Echoing the Third Ward community spirit, the school has a robust volunteer program to bring in interested individuals from the local community and across Houston to share their skills and provide additional resources and opportunities.

overall I'm very happy with my experience at Yellowstone I love being apart of student council because they make me feel like family .I love the staff at the school they are very good teachers and staff members the schools is very safe and they have a great education but there food could improve .
