Established in 1963, Circle View Elementary is a magnet school in the Ocean View School District. Located at 6261 Hooker Dr., in Huntington Beach, the school enrolls approximately 668 students and serves students in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. Home of the Eagles, Circle View Elementary is a National Blue Ribbon and a California Distinguished School Recipient. The vision of Circle View is to provide a safe environment where children are passionate about the learning process and grow into lifelong learners. The school has a strong academic focus with a core curriculum in English/language arts, science, math, social studies and physical education. In addition, Circle View features an all-day magnet gifted and talented enrichment program where students are provided an extended period of time in enrichment studies. This program is available for students in third to fifth grade and offers a six-year curriculum continuum. Circle View also offers an exciting Astro Camp, which is a hands-on science adventuring featuring state of the art labs and equipment designed to increase science literacy. Students are guided on a study of the Universe through the astronomy lab, physical science labs, field exercises and team building activities. Lack of funding has prevented my 4th grader from acquiring a working Chromebook to take home to work on class assignments. My child complains the ones in class are slow amd hard to finish work on. Remarks to the principal falls on deaf ears. Unacceptable.

School is old and dalipidated. GATE program is the only thing keeping this school alive. Other than that, nothing good to write home about. Would not recommend this school to be honest. Every year parents are fighting to avoid it being closed. Honestly it just needs to be shut down. The past 3 years...
