The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Huntington Park High School is a school that has some alright culture, given it was the place where they filmed Grease. The sports and clubs the school has to offer is a range of variety, as well as the many different classes they have as well.

I have attended HPHS for all 4 years and was very involved and one of the top 20 in the school. I've seen the school in both student and professional perspectives. Overall the education opportunities were amazing. As good as it was a big problem we had was student and teacher relationships. I myself am a victim of grooming at school, it lasted for about a semester and a few staff members seen but never wanted to report if because they were friends. It's a huge problem we have. About 2 staff members were fired due to this matter and its something we really have to change.

It has been a Great and fun four years at this school. My Father and His uncles have all came to this amazing school. I met new friends and even was able to join the Varsity Baseball Team. My Family have been proud about everything through this four years at Huntington Park High School. Thank You for everything.
I would rate this school a 4 because last year they integrated a STEM Magnet program which has a very good rating. This program engages students in success and achieving new things. I am very glad to have this program in this school in Huntington Park.

I am a former student attending at Huntington Park High School, HPHS for short, and I believe this school is gruesome. I'm in honors/AP and I still feel it isnt as challenging. Kids in there shouldn't even belong in there. The teachers teach horribly. I don't blame them. The school was too lazy or "...
It wasn't a bad school. I graduated in 2008. I can honestly say that most of the teachers I had, cared for the students and wanted them to succeed. Even though they say the school was overcrowded, I don't believe that's a valid excise for the lack of effort most students give. If one can succeed, mo...
