GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Better food would be nice. I would also like to actually be taught something. I was taught some stuff but most of the time I taught myself the stuff or just learned it right before the test.

HISD is a good small community school that focuses on students and a quality education. The Administration, Staff, Teachers and Coaches all strive to help a student achieve success.

I received a great education. The teachers cared about the students. Even the administration was always at every event. Our superintendent was in a bad accident and he was at the high school the next day to see two of our track athletes off to state. The down side was Other administrative officers allowed cheaters to graduate and receive special attention. No type of displicinary action was brought up.

absolutely horrible. If you are not the chosen students, they put no effort into your child and don’t care about their future. Teachers bully students and let it happen in the classroom.

This school was so terrible. I felt left out and alone all the time. The teachers watch bullying in the classrooms. Also the teachers have favorites the popular children get much more respect than any of the other children. I had spent days crying in the bathroom stall alone during lunch. No one car...
