Overall this is a great school I have unfortunately had to deal with a few issues surrounding racism but I do believe this will improve as the area becomes more diverse. The teachers are amazing, the sports teams are excellent and the administration is very helpful.

I love attending the sporting events at the school. Oakdale has a lot of school spirit. I also love to play basketball for the school. Last year we were MD state finalists. The worst part is not being able to get help from certain teachers when needed.

I had a very good experience in high school, my teachers loved me, and I loved to learn. I think that teachers genuinely care about their students beyond teaching. The one thing that I would change is how the counselors connect. There are very few times I can meet with my counselor, and they are not always available. I think that if they had more of a role past applications in your senior year and schedule building, more kids would feel comfortable talking to them.

Excellent school with superb facilities and strong academic support.

The school has a fantastic facility, but the honors courses (at least in the lower grades, not AP courses) have students far below the honors level in them, this is affecting learning at the higher, college prep level.
