McClelland Elementary School serves Indianapolis on the city's west side. Providing a public school education for kindergarteners through sixth graders, the McClelland Elementary School enrolls over 700 students. It emphasizes unity among its student body.
First established over 60 years ago, McClelland Elementary School has been renovated to include a multi-purpose cafeteria and auditorium, gymnasium, computer lab, media center, art and music rooms, school-wide Wi-Fi for technology and laptop use and a dedicated science lab. Students at McClellan Elementary School learn teamwork while improving their problem-solving skills, and teachers stress collaboration in the classroom. The red and white McClelland Bears are fearless fun seekers, and the school offers students numerous after-school and extracurricular activities to explore. Kids can sign up for Battle of the Books, the Math Bowl, Robotics, Spell Bowl or chess club. Athletically minded children can join McClellan Elementary School's basketball and soccer clubs or Girls on the Run.
