It's one of the worst school you can bring your kid to, the safety isn't that great lots of drugs are used in the bathroom lots of kids buying pot and smoking it and same with vapes. Th teachers art bad but they don't give any punishments also the food is terrible sometimes its cold other times its hard and under cooked the staff at lunch makes you wait to get your food if you don't have your lanyard so you sit till 10 to 15 minuets till the end of lunch then they let you get your food. The staff at the main office makes favorites and will make them get less in trouble then when i went there the staff got mad that I watched a fight and I got 5 days of ISS (in school suspension) witch is basically detention. The band classes and sports are great but the football team never won a game in 15 years, the wrestling team is the best sports team there.

There are a few awesome teachers that care and want to see you succeed, Then you have teachers who are there to just get a check. I think Southport Middle School teachers and staff needs to get further education with kids with special needs.

Southport Middle was not as we expected. There seemed to be a lot less follow through. A lot less parent/ teacher communication. They were unprepared for the students that spent k-5 at Edison system, especially in foreign language areas.

Been going here for 2 years and have had a good enought experience. The kids here are overall nice. There are a few stinkers but that's not really the school's fault. I am a high ability student and they definitely give me the support I need to grow and develop. 5 stars, would reccomend.

I don't learn at all here. Students with higher academic levels are NOT accommodated. Everything I am learning has been taught to me in the 3rd grade. I would say every 1 in 99 teachers will actually make a positive impact on students. The only thing counselors do is roam around the hallways and get...

This school is unlike its older brother. But have some traits of Southport high school such as u will get bullied here. If you want you children to be bullied and then have teachers talk down on them this is just the school for you!
