A part of the RePublic Schools system, Smilow Collegiate is an elementary school that serves over 500 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. From the get-go, the students are prepared to pursue a college education and work toward their dreams. This goal is reflected in how the school emphasizes their academic, physical and behavioral development.
With a higher student-teacher ratio of about 66-to-1, there is a concentrated effort to ensure that the student population gets the necessary input through standardized teaching. Classes on math, reading and language proficiency and computer science are supplemented with online resources to cement students' learning.
Daily physical activity and free meals also form an integral part of the school culture and provide students with the resources they need to make learning easier. The student body is also kept engaged with other fun and educational activities such as Twin Day, Community Circle and more.
