Andrew A. Robinson Elementary is a magnet school in Springfield. Teachers and staff aim to create an engaging environment where children develop a love for learning and apply practical knowledge. As a dedicated STEAM school focused on instruction in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, Andrew A. Robinson Elementary utilizes programs through various partnerships and grants. These programs allow the school to use creative tools and methods in the classroom, like making reading more fun with electronic devices and bringing life to engineering by teaching robotics. The school also offers a summer learning boost that combines activities and learning. Additionally, students can participate in afterschool care, a robotics team, school safety patrols, a tech team (news production), and coding classes. Principal Mychelle Grover started at Andrew A. Robinson in 2021, bringing six years of experience to the school. Grover's enthusiasm and high academic expectations, coupled with a staff with a passion for children and teaching, equate to strong support for students. Most students are eligible to continue on to Springfield Middle School after fifth grade. The middle school offers continued learning with an advanced version of the STEAM program and an accelerated option for high-performing students.

This school administrators are the worst. They don't return calls and won't take the time to meet with the parents. The principle wonders why the kids are always misbehaving, but has to realize you can't separate the kids. I have never known a school to have a promotional ceremony for part of the 5t...

Inappropriate language and speech from staff (front desk). The principal is unwilling to meet with parents. I have tried to meet with her for over to weeks now. I left her notes, waited in the office two times both over an hour, and phone calls. I have never heard back from her still. I am taking my...

Andrew Robinson Elementary school with good teachers. There are many activities for the students to be apart of. Parents are given the opportunity to participate in academic nights and various activities to see what the students are learning. I also like that the school is clean.
