JCDS is a nurturing and caring environment that puts the needs and the interest of the whole child as the top priority. The academic rigor is age appropriate, and the focus on character development is exceptional. We feel fortunate to be able to provide our children with the strong foundation that JCDS provides.

My children and family have felt very uncomfortable in this school. There are no people of color at the admin level and only one at the teaching level. I receive a lot of superficial smiles when I drop off my kids but our culture is not reflected in the hallways, classrooms, or in the lessons. There were some great teachers that left and were replaced by others who do not seem to know what they are doing. Math is of particular concern.
