Ezra L. Nolan School, also known as Jersey City Public School #40, is located in the Greenville section of Jersey City and serves students in sixth through eighth grade. Ezra L. Nolan students are taught to explore their innate curiosity while uncovering the joy of discovery during their learning experience in the middle school years. They are encouraged to become socially aware, scientifically literate and become respectful and responsible citizens along the way. The school boasts a 12-1 student-to-teacher ratio, which is significantly below the national and state averages.
Students can participate in extracurricular activities like the FIRST LEGO League robotics program, which promotes the development of problem-solving skills while also integrating STEM learning outside the classroom. As a part of the Jersey City Public School system, students are eligible to attend the district's many summer programs, including the Speranza Theater Company camp and the JCPS SPARKS and CASPER after-school program. The JCPS SPARKS program is for students in kindergarten through eighth grade and offers summer enrichment in language arts, mathematics, STEM, arts and social studies. In contrast, the CASPER program provides recreation and social-emotional development.

This school is terrible at everything thing you can thing about. As you can see schools such as ps. 4 should be band from this state. It is no longer a healthy environment for students or teachers. This school is also interrupting police time. This non-sense should no longer be allowed in this state. I have heard complaints that students are getting bullied and can no longer concentrate.
