Wow, I'm surprised about hearing all the negative comments. Though I can say when I went I started Kindergarten there in 1976 I had the best teacher, ever, named (Ms. or Mrs. Baccola or Baccolla), and it was Principal Kovack at the time, and a Vice Principal named Ms. or Mrs. Rizzo, who was another mean one. But there were always some bad kids there, and bullies. We even had a mean teacher, that would hit you with the ruler, pull your hair, and pull your ears, if you fell asleep in class. Her name was Ms. Harkness. She pulled my hair, and ears, in first grade in 1977, when I was 6 years old.

The teachers actions towards students should change. I graduated this school in 2013 and was a victim of bullying and this school has done nothing but promote a poster that says a bully free zone when in reality it wasn't. This school should definitely do better and hope it does.

This school has shown strict environment when it comes to behavior people are never out of line and if they are will be excused and handled by the vice principal or principal of James f Murray school

James F. Murray ps#38 is nothing but great. The children are taught to strive for excellence. The Principal, faculty, and staff, all care about the students. The teachers are committed to the students learning and their test scores reflect that. My children have well-beyond exceeded my expectations...

Excellent elementary school. Great curriculum, and great learning environment. Kids are doing amazing here. I truly want to thank the amazing teachers and staff. It is also a bully free zone, no bullying is tolerated. Ms. Jones goes up and beyond for the children here. I highly recommend this school...

Great school, well prepares your children for high school and beyond, principal has been there for an extremely long time and is nothing but great! School is clean, safe, and a warming environment to learn, so many extracurricular activities and opportunities here!
