I've worked at Charleston Collegiate School for 2 years, and what stands out most is the strong sense of community and the meaningful relationships between students and teachers. The school's focus on project-based learning, outdoor education, entrepreneurship, and creativity creates an environment where students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. It's a special place to work and learn.

Charleston Collegiate is a school that could do with a lot of change. There are many internal issues such as rash hiring of teachers and overworking staff that lead to the experience not being as good as it could be. the academics are very shaky at the moment because there have been a lot of staff changes over the past few years. This issue has led to the inconsistency of learning processes. The school promotes an overprotective lifestyle and could use a culture shift along with giving a lot of busy work instead of effective learning.

The lower school has been and always will be amazing. It's a wonderful atmosphere that will continue to evolve. However, the upper school needs some work, including curriculum and teachers. The students graduating aren't entirely ready for college and need to be trained more thoroughly.
