My experience at Johnstown Senior high School has been very positive. The staff, teachers, administration, and district have gone above and beyond to deliver quality education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

JHS is part of a small suburban/rural community so the lack of diversity is expected. The teachers for the most part are great, and the only issue with academics is that the number of available AP and dual enrollment courses is so small. The school provided food is average US Highschool food: not good. The recent budget issues in the community have taken a toll on the clubs, academics, and sports in the school which is unfortunate, but happening more and more in NYS and around the country as years pass.

It's a nice school and I've enjoyed my time, I just wish the school board would realize they are wasting money on stupid things like football and focus on their other sports and clubs that actually succeed.
