GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

During my 3 years of going to joliet central high school i have had a great experience with being given great opportunity and being treated fairly and with respect. Im am currently in my junior year and looking to start early learning at Joliet Junior College for sonogram technology.

In this school, students are not very challenged academically. There is a lot of violence in the school and the students seem very unmotivated. However, the teachers are really good at their jobs, it's just the students.

the high school is not very good. Although there are some good staff members a majority of them do not care for their job. Students are treated as degenerates and given no respect. The clubs are nice and created a good community experience but otherwise it is very difficult to find a sense of community. There is constant stealing and fighting between students. I would like to see safety procautions be improved and better staff members who have a passion for what they do.

I attended Joliet Central High School. For my freshman year. The 1987-1988 school year. I was special education student. It was excellent when I went there. However there was a lot of bullying.

Excellent experience for kids who wish to take advantage of all they have to offer. While doing college visits with my senior we realized how much more curriculum Joliet Central has to offer than even some of the Chicago areas more affluent school districts.
