GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would like to see our athletic department get better. Better coaching, better scores.. Favoritism is big, we need to push our students to suceed, not belittle their ego or sit them out because they are not populous .

The students are really nice and a few teachers will do anything to see you succeed. Everyone mostly gets along except for a few bumps here and there, but nothing too extreme. I've had a few teachers who will drop almost anything to try and help me in any way possible. A few teachers do pick favorites, but besides from that the teachers are great.

There are many rules that I find obsolete. The attempt by this school to treat all students the same has seriously limited my learning opportunities, and it has caused an excessive amount of time to be wasted. The teacher to student ratio does not allow for teachers to focus on the individual learning abilities of the students.

Some teachers could do better at communicating with parents.

Knoxville High School staff are some of the most dedicated, hard working teachers I’ve ever worked with. We strive to create a positive learning environment for all students.

Very positive. There have been lots of changes over the last several years, but all of them have been based on input from students, parents, faculty, and/or professional staff. It's disheartening to see negative remarks about the district - those of us in the community that have followed the schools...
