70% of the kids here play sports, which impacts student life a lot. People love it or they hate it, and the student body is incredibly homogeneous. I've loved (almost) all my teachers, and the school itself is great, but the change (only in the last 10 years or so) from a more socially diverse school to a sports powerhouse valuing no other activities kinda sucks. The admin and leadership are definitely working hard to raise awareness for arts stuff, but I have yet to see meaningful change.

It's a great school with mostly dedicated staff and lots of activities/opportunities. Diversity is not great but expected from predominately white neighborhood.

I love Acalanes! Being involved in sports and leadership has brought me closer to campus and to the people on it. :)

My daughter has an IEP and I just wanted her to attend a school where she could feel supported to achieve her best. When looking at the numbers for this school one would think tha...

We just moved here so this is based only on our son’s first year, but he really loves this school. He’s gone from tolerating school and doing just what he needs to get by to enjoying it and challenging himself. He is excited about the subjects he’s learning and says at least once a week that his tea...
