GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It was a regular High School experience. The best part of my time attending this school is the school spirit. The football games and prep rallies are extremely fun to attend. One downfall are the school dances, the Venus could be much better.

El toro is a very engaging school with many different resources to help students with any troubles in academics and personal. One thing that I would like to change is the student and teacher connection. I would like to see more activities where teachers connect with students

One of my favorite parts of El Toro High School would be the school spirit they'd show while having a sports game even if they weren't the best and would lose. One of my least favorite parts of El Toro would be the students who go to the bathroom to vape. A change I'd like to see at El Toro would most likely have to do with a reduction in the amount of students going to vape in the bathroom.

During my four years at this high school, the bathroom stalls had no doors, which was a significant and distressing issue. This lack of privacy was unacceptable and has left a lasting negative impact on me, even decades later.Additionally, when it came time to apply for college, I found out too late...

Moving from IUSD to SUSD was a big question mark for us. Ever since we've been here, we absolutely love everything about this school—the principal, office staff, counselors, sports, and more. I feel like IUSD is overrated, and other districts also have a lot to offer. This school is well-organized,...

My daughter is a Sophomore at El Toro High School and it has been an amazing experience. She loves it, her classes are challenging, her teachers obviously care, her friends are polite and nice. The opportunity to get involved is abundant there seems to be a sport, club, or extracurricular program fo...

Great Community. Good inclusion of diverse students. Questionable academic counselors. To begin, counselors are overwhelmed with the ratio of 600+ students to 1 counselor (according to this site). I've seen other parents struggle with getting their child support academically. One in particular couns...
