I came to the Laurel School district when I was a freshman. I was nervous to meet people, but it ended up being so easy. I was very welcomed. The best part about going to Laurel is that it's big enough to meet lots of people, but small enough to know lots of students. The worst part about Laurel is how early in the year we go back to school. (With no air conditioning ). If I could change 1 thing at Laurel High School, it would be tradition. There needs to be some sort of spark that no one is "too cool" for. A judgement free and happy-go-lucky tradition. My ideas are Senior Sunrise and first day of school water balloon fight right after school gets out.

Everyone thinks they are high and mighty. An English teacher would force her beliefs onto students and makes them meditate which is a form or prayer. Curriculum is out of date, things i learned in 8th grade and as a freshman in ca is what i was "learning" as a senior at laurel.

O love how everyone knows everyone. So many friends to make. I like the education, we need better scheduling, I can't do several honors classes next year because of bad scheduling.

However, a student can thrive and make it out of there to pursue an education, should they not drop out prior to graduat...
