GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Laurel is an alright school, we have some great teaches, as well as some that are not as great. I cannot speak for the administration as much because it is frequently changing. The school has a number of good clubs for everyone, however student involvement and school spirit is lacking.

Everyone thinks they are high and mighty. An English teacher would force her beliefs onto students and makes them meditate which is a form or prayer. Curriculum is out of date, things i learned in 8th grade and as a freshman in ca is what i was "learning" as a senior at laurel.

Laurel is a really great small, it's between big and small so everyone knows almost everybody. Laurel has great educators and amazing sports teams. One thing I do wish is that admin would take bullying, threats and other matters more seriously and not punish the innocent worse than the guilty.
